RECREATIONAL CLASSES
1. Gymnasts are expected to be on time to every session and competition, if they are going to be late please phone the office. When gymnasts arrive late they are expected to speak with their coach before commencing the session or competition.
2. Gymnasts are required to wear appropriate attire to every session. No jeans or buckles are permitted. We reccomend tight fitting clothing that does not fall down when you go upside down. No jewelry or long nails are permitted whilst training, this includes watches and fit bits.
3. Gymnasts or parents are expected to inform their coach of any injury they may have prior to training.
4. Icon is a family and we all need to support each other through bad and good times. Bullying is not tolerated at Icon under any circumstances, whether this be in person or online.
5. Negative talk/gossip will not be tolerated; positive attitudes are a must when in the Icon gym. If there is a problem, please speak with your coach or Rosie directly.
6. Gymnasts are expected to treat the gym as a training facility. They are not to sit or lie down whilst training unless instructed to by a coach.
7. All athletes must respect every staff member at Icon Gymsports. They must be polite, listen to their feedback, do what they are asked and not answer back. This is regardless of whether that staff member is your normal coach.
8. Everyone likes to train in a nice environment, gymnasts are to look after our gym and use all equipment properly to prevent it from getting damaged.
1.Athletes are to be dropped off and picked up from class on time every week. Coaches are only responsible for athletes during their designated class time. Parents are required to park and walk athletes inside and come inside to pick them up at the end of class. We will not allow athletes to leave the gym without a parent present if under 18 years of age.
2.Please consider safety of convenience when parking and only leave your car in set parking spaces.
3.Should your child be late to/from class, please contact the office (9482 4341) and let them know so we can provide appropriate care until you arrive. If you are late to pick your child up you will be charged in accordance with our late pick up fee policy.
4. Please ensure you wait with your child until they have been called for their class. Please ensure they are not in the gym until this point.
5. Parents and siblings are required to wait outside the black gate for all classes unless asked to assist with the class. Please ensure children not involved with classes are supervised and not inside the gym at any time.
6.All Icon staff members deserve to feel safe and be treated with respect. Parents must speak to staff politely. Any issues must be directed through Club Manager, Rosie.
1. I understand that Icon Gymsports has the following discount options for recreational classes:
a. Pay the normal fee before the end of the previous term and receive the early bird discount
b. Sign up on a direct debit. You will be automatically enrolled and the term fee will be deducted from your account on the last day of term. You will receive an additional $5 discount for this option on top of the Early Bird Discount, so $15 in total. If you decide not to continue next term you will need to let us know in writing a minimum of 2 weeks before the end of Term.
c. 2 Terms in advance and your class price goes down 50cents every week on top of the Early Bird Price
d. 3 Terms in advance and your class price goes down $1 every week on top of the Early Bird Price
e. 4 Terms in advance and your class price goes down $1.5 every week on top of the Early Bird Price.
This means you can get your 1 hour class for as low as $16.50 per lesson! Save up to $123 over the year.
d. Sign up for 5 weeks only: $100. Use your active kids voucher and this is free!
2. I understand that these discount options are only available when signing up for a full term. If you are interested in a discount option please book and pay online and then contact the office to organise the discount.
3. I understand that all fees are to be paid before participation in any lesson at Icon Gymsports.
4. I understand fees are charged on a termly basis and will be worked out at a pro rata rate, based on how many lessons are left of the term.
5. I understand Icon Gymsports does not offer partial term payments for holidays or any other reasons.
6. No refunds will be given under any circumstances. Credit notes may be considered for serious medical reasons only and must be applied for in writing to management accompanied by a doctor’s certificate. Credit can only be used for the same student (not transferred between siblings).
7. Late pick up charge: If you are late to pick your child up and it is the last class of the day you will be charged. By law Icon are required to have two staff members stay with your child. After the first 10 minutes, you will be charged $25 per 15 minutes.
8. All staff, athletes and parents are bound by the Icon code of conduct. Anyone not adhering to these rules may be asked to leave the program. Depending on the severity of the breach you may or may not be given a written warning. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
9. All enrolments are subject to approval through Icon Gymsports management. Enrolments may be denied or discontinued.
1. I understand that Icon Gymsports does not offer refunds for any lessons, camps, holiday programs or events missed under any circumstance.
2. I understand that credits are only offered in the case of medical conditions and must be applied for in writing accompanied by a doctors certificate. All credits will only be applied for periods of 2 weeks or more of absence.
3. In the case of missed lessons Icon Gymsports offers make up lessons.
4. Makeup lessons are only offered in classes with spaces available.
5. A maximum of 2 make up lessons may be taken each term, unless applied for and approved in writing.
6. Make up lessons must be booked through the parent portal.
1. I give permission for my child to be photographed by Icon Gymsports coaches.
2. I understand that these photos will be used be Icon Gymsports for advertising and social media purposes. Photos may be used on platforms including but not limited to; the website, Facebook, Instagram, banners and flyers. Children will only be identified by first name.
3. Photos will only be used by Icon Gymsports as an organisation photos will not be posted by Individuals.

1. I have submitted all relevant medical information.
2. All enrolments are subject to approval through Icon Gymsports management. Enrolments may be denied or discontinued at the discretion of management.
3. Icon Gymsports operates under the policy that if there is any doubt of a serious injury an ambulance will be called. All efforts will be made to contact the parent to inform them that an ambulance has been called as soon as possible. If you would not like an ambulance to be called for your child if we are unable to get in touch with you then please complete a written request. Please ensure you receive a written reply to confirm we have received your request.
4. As a parent/guardian I give my child permission to participate at Icon Gymsports and agree to delegate my authority to the staff involved. I realise precautions are taken to eliminate injuries or hazards and a qualified coach is always present, however injuries and accidents may occur. In the event of any injury I hereby waive, release and hold harmless from any liability for damages or claims for personal injury, including accidental death, as well as for property damage which may arise in conjunction with the above activity, against Icon Gymsports, its employees, coaches and assistants.
COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS

6. When representing Icon Gymsports at an event, or when in club uniform, there is to be no swearing, smoking, drinking, or showing of bad sportsmanship.
7. Icon is a family and we all need to support each other through bad and good times. Bullying is not tolerated at Icon under any circumstances, whether this be in person or online.

8.Please refrain from gossip, if you have a concern, a question please ask your childβs coach or Rosie directly.
9.At competitions parents are not permitted to speak with thei child for any reason. Please communicate with the coach whilst they are their care.
10.At competitions parents are not permitted on the floor for any reason. Parents are not permitted to speak with judges or competition officials. Any violation of this may result in disqualification of your child or prevention from them entering future events.
1. The Icon Gymsports Competitive program is a selective program. Acceptance into the program is by invitation only. Gymnasts are selected based on a range of criteria including; strength, flexibility, coordination, focus and skill level.
2. At the end of each year Icon will offer every gymnast currently in the program a position in a squad for the following year. Squads will be chosen based on what coaches think the best thing for each child is.
3. An athletes training squad does not reflect what level they will compete. Competing is not a given just because athletes are in the competitive program. Athletes will work towards a certain level, 10 weeks out from their first competition they will be assessed on that level. If they are not up to that level parents will be spoken to. 6 weeks out from competition athletes will be assessed again. If athletes cannot do all the skills to a competitive standard they will not be entered in that level. A decision will be made as to whether athletes will do the lower level or continue working towards the higher level. Regardless of what level athletes compete in they will stay training in the same squad unless there is a major issue.
4. Athletes in the Icon Competitive Program are expected to follow the Icon Competitive Gymnast code of conduct. Any athletes not adhering to this code of conduct may not be entered into competitions. If the athlete continues to not abide by the code of conduct a written warning may be given. If the action is severe an athlete may be asked to leave the program. In this case no refunds will be given.
5. Some competitions are team events. In the case of these events Icon will always fill one team before creating a second team. Teams will be created based on; skill level, ability to score highly, attitude and effort in the gym, attendance to training.
Icon Gymsports will share the following details of each athlete with the rest of the squad:
1. Athlete Name
2. Parent Names
3. Parent 1 Contact Number
4. Parent 1 Contact Email
5. Home Suburb
6. School

1. I understand that I have enrolled my child into a competitive program at Icon Gymsports.
2. The payment method for the competitive program at Icon Gymsports is through a monthly direct debit using a gateway provider, Ezidebit.
3. The set monthly fee will be taken on the 1st of each month. The first payment will be taken on the 1st February and the final payment will be taken on the 1st November.
4. If you would like an amendment to be made to either point 2 or 3 this will need to be agreed upon in writing with Icon Gymsports prior to this booking being made. Not all amendments can be catered for.
5. The set monthly fee is worked out using the hourly rate, multiplied by the number of hours trained per week, multiplied by the number of weeks trained in a year. This number is then divided by 10 payments. Monthly payments are not just for that month of training.
6. To cancel any agreement at Icon Gymsports 4 weekβs notice must be given in writing.
7. If a direct debit payment bounces back for any reason you will be charged in accordance with the Ezidebit policies.
8. All fees must be up to date before a child commences any class or attends a competition. If fees are not up to date then they will not be able to participate.
9. Fees will still be due for any lessons that are not participated in due to unpaid fees.
10. No refunds will be given under any circumstances. Under most circumstances competitive gymnasts will be expected to train with modified activities when injured.

CHEERLEADING
Cheerleading Athlete Code of Conduct Agreement
1. Cheerleading at Icon Gymsports is a team sports with a very high level of commitment. Before joining a team, it is expected that you understand the commitment you are taking on and are prepared to honor that commitment for an entire year.
2. It is your responsibility to wear the appropriate attire to every training session. Athletes must wear an Icon top with appropriate bottoms, hair must be neat with a bow and cheer shoes must be worn. No jewelry or long nails are permitted whilst training, this includes watches and fit bits.
3. When representing Icon Gymsports at an event, or when in club uniform, there is to be no swearing, smoking, drinking, or showing of bad sportsmanship.
4. We pride ourselves on wearing Icon branded attire at competitions, trainings, and other events you are asked to wear it. Represent our family with pride; please always wear appropriate undergarments.
5. Icon is a family and we all need to support each other through bad and good times. Bullying is not tolerated at Icon under any circumstances, whether this be in person or online.

10. Athletes are not to be associated with any other All Star Cheerleading program; this includes coaching or competing. If there is a class that is not offered at Icon that you would like to do elsewhere, please speak with Rosie about this prior to signing up.
11. Athletes are encouraged to participate in their scholastic team if their school has one. If they do not currently have one and would like to create one, please contact Rosie at cheer@icongymsports.com so he can speak with school representatives about that opportunity.
12. No athlete will represent themselves or Icon Gymsports in a negative manner on social media. 3. Withholding an athlete from training and competition is not an acceptable form of punishment in any circumstance as it will greatly affect the other team members.

5.Coaches choose athlete stunting positions based on what is best for both the team and the individual. Please respect this decision.
6. Please understand the commitment involved with joining a competitive cheerleading team. Pulling your child out mid year or missing a compulsory event will effect the entire team.
7. Please make sure you know what is going on. Please check your emails regularly as well as your team app. If you feel like you do not have enough information, please contact Rosie.
8. Parents must attend a meeting during the first half an hour of their teams training in Week 3. If you are unable to attend your own meeting you can attend another team meeting.

Cheerleading is a team sport that requires 100% commitment from all members. The routine and stunts do not work if even 1 person is missing and we do not have reserves. We give you as much knowledge as possible in order to enable you to honour this commitment. All competition, show-off and compulsory dates are given before you sign up. The only dates that are not have confirmed are the Choreography Dates, these will be released in the first 5 weeks of training. Every year we have people ask for exceptions to be made, unfortunately this is not possible, as soon as we make an exception for one person we have to make an exception for all. Please understand that this commitment policy is in order to look after the entire team.
If you’re going to be late please inform the office as soon as possible. If it is past 3.30pm on the day of training you must call the office, before this email is fine. If you are missing training for a scheduled event, you must let us know before the start of Term. If you are sick or something very important comes up at the last minute, please let us know as soon as possible.
Acceptable reasons for missing a NON compulsory lesson
– School camp or compulsory school function
– Death of a family member or close friend
– Wedding or similar important family event
– Vomiting or contagious sickness. The office must be notified.
Unacceptable reasons for missing a NON compulsory lesson
– Injury – athletes must be at training watching
– Work – your cheer schedule will not change all year, schedule work around it
– Other Sport Commitments
– School Work – we understand that school is the priority, however you know when cheer is and you must manage your time.
– Transportation β If you can not get to cheer let us know. We will organise a way for you to get to the gym. We are a family and we need you at training.
If an athlete misses 2 non compulsory lessons during the year for an unacceptable reason they will be placed on a 30-day probation. During this time if another lesson is missed for any reason they may be asked to leave the team. This will be at the discretion of coaches and management. If this is the case no refunds will be given for any training fees, registration or competitions.
Acceptable reasons to miss a compulsory lesson
– Vomiting or contagious sickness. The office must be notified and a doctorβs certificate must be provided
– Compulsory school camp. A letter from the school must be provided to say they are not allowed to miss the camp. If it is close enough athletes are expected to at least come to some of the compulsory lesson.
– Death or funeral of an immediate family member.
– If an athlete is injured they must still attend training to watch.
If an athlete misses a compulsory lesson for an unacceptable reason they may be asked to leave the team, their position may be changed or they may not be allowed to compete at that particular competition. This will be at the discretion of coaches and management. If this is the case no refunds will be given for any training fees, registration or competitions.

The final due date for registration is the 11th March so you must have made a decision by then.
7. The registration fee is due on the Monday the 11th March, late fees will apply after this date. The last day for Early Bird registration fee is Friday the 25th January, no exceptions. If you choose to take advantage of the Early Bird fee NO REFUNDS will be given under any circumstances.

In the event of any injury I hereby waive, release and hold harmless from any liability for damages or claims for personal injury, including accidental death, as well as for property damage which may arise in conjunction with the above activity, against Icon Gymsports, its employees, coaches and assistants.
